You haven't tried everything (I promise)

I was on a coaching call this week.

One of my ladies has been dieting for decades, not years...decades.

She's done the shakes.

The app where you photograph your dinner.

The one where Tuesday's your free day.

She's got the t-shirt.

A few of them, actually.

At one point she said, "I've tried everything, Cara."

I stopped her there.

Because she hadn't.

She'd tried every diet.

Sounds like the same sentence.

But it really isn't.

Diets give you structure.

Rules, points, macros, clean days...all those things.

Structure feels safe, especially when you've been doing this on and off for years.

But rules only get followed until they can't be followed anymore.

That's not you lacking willpower.

That's just what a diet is.

So one off weekend happens, and it's "I'll start again Monday."

And around you go again.

The thing my lady hadn't tried, in all those decades, was building a healthy relationship with food.

Not another plan.

Not another app.

Just learning to trust a body she'd been overriding for years.

That's what I talk through in this week's Chatting with Cara podcast episode.

Why "I've tried everything" usually means "I've tried every diet," and what actually works instead.

You can listen to it here on Spotify and here on Apple Podcasts or search "Chatting with Cara" where you get your podcasts from.

And if you're done searching for the next plan, then please at your seat at the founding Intuitive Table.

We start 14th September at 9.30.

Eight weeks, one table, no starting again on Monday.

Just building a healthy relationship with food surrounded by other women who are doing just the same.

Find out more here and take your seat.
