Why I Paid £125 for a Spreadsheet (And What It Taught Me About Intuitive Eating)

Let me take you back to when I was a freshly qualified PT.
I signed up to one of those 8 week fat loss programs. You know the ones "eat what you like" and drop a dress size.
If I'm being totally honest, I wanted to see how established PTs were doing it.
So I paid £125.
In return, I got a spreadsheet.
Just a spreadsheet.
It told me how many calories to eat, how much protein to hit, and how many calories to "burn" that week.
The target? 1,300 calories a day.
So low.
I'd been tracking for a while by then and I already knew that anything around 1,500 was a struggle.
There was no way I could stick to 1,300.
But a week in, other women in the Facebook group had lost 6lbs and I was left wondering what was wrong with me.
Why couldn't I stick to it when they could?
What were they doing differently?
I wasn't even eating proper meals.
I was living on eggs on toast and feeling awful.
And the once-a-week "coaching" that came through basically just told me this was what I had to do to lose weight.
I was so disappointed.
What My Clients Actually Wanted
Around the same time, I was starting to get clients of my own.
But the women sitting in front of me weren't even talking about weight loss.
They wanted to feel strong enough to lift their kids.
They wanted to be fitter because they were getting out of breath on walks.
Their joints hurt.
They just wanted to fit back into their old clothes and feel like themselves again.
That's when it clicked. There had to be another way.
Finding Intuitive Eating
I started researching and found Intuitive Eating and it completely blew my mind.
You know when something is so straightforward that when it's explained to you, it just makes complete sense?
And you sit there wondering why anyone ever did it the other way?
That's exactly how it felt.
Since discovering it, I've made it my mission to help other women understand what's actually going on when:
You're on the sofa at night and can't stop eating.
You sign up for another diet, desperate for it to work but deep down you know it won't.
You're finishing the kids' leftovers without even thinking about it.
These aren't failures. They're patterns. And there's a reason they keep happening.
Tackling the Root Cause, Not the Symptoms.
I never want anyone to feel the way I felt, beating myself up for not losing 6lbs while eating 1,300 calories a day and wondering what was wrong with me.
Nothing was wrong with me.
And nothing is wrong with you either.
Everything I do now is about getting to the root cause, not just managing the symptoms.
That's the drum I'll keep banging because it's the only approach I've seen actually work long-term.
If you've ever signed up to one of these programs and felt spat out the other side, I want to show you a different way.
Book a free 30 minute call and let's talk about your experience and how to finally get to where you want to be.
