Too tired to cook, too wired to sleep

Let me take you back to yesterday morning.
Actually, let me take you back to every morning.
Alarm goes off.
And straight away it's not about you.
It's shoes on the kids, out the door, go go go.
No breakfast, because there genuinely isn't a spare five minutes for it.
Lunch is whatever's fastest, eaten at your desk, in the car, standing at the chopping board.
By 3pm you need a coffee.
Not want.
Need.
By the time you're home, cooking feels like one task too many.
So it's something quick, something easy, something that isn't really dinner if we're honest.....
And then it's 11pm.
Everyone else is asleep.
And you're finally sat down, scrolling your phone, telling yourself this is your time.
Even though you'll regret it at 6am when someone wants something from you.
I see you.
I really do.
Here's what I want to say to you, plainly.
This is not a discipline problem.
It's not laziness about cooking or being disorganised about breakfast.
It's the same pattern, wearing five different outfits.
I see it with client after client after client.
Skipping breakfast, grabbing lunch, needing that 3pm coffee, doing a rubbish dinner, scrolling at 11pm.
Five things that look like bad habits, aren't - they are the same pattern underneath.
They're one exhausted woman who hasn't had a single moment to herself all day.
I had a client once who used to skip breakfast every single day.
She'd eat lunch in the car around 10.30am because she was starving by then.
By 3pm she was pulling into Costa for one of those iced, syrupy things with cream on top.
Except she told me she didn't even like coffee.
So what was actually going on there?
She didn't need caffeine.
She needed five minutes back for herself, and coffee was the only excuse she'd given herself permission to take it.
Once we identified that - change!
Not because she started meal prepping on a Sunday.
Because she stopped treating five symptoms and started looking at the one thing underneath them.
So here's what I want you to do.
Look at your day, meal by meal.
Not to judge it.
Just to notice where it went.
Was there ever a moment that was just for you?
Or was it alarm, straight into everyone else's needs, all day long?
Because it's not about forcing down a breakfast you haven't got time for, or bricking your phone at 11pm.
It's about protecting little pockets of time earlier in the day, so you're not running on empty by the time you get to it.
You've probably also decided you're the only one doing this.
You're not.
My Instagram analytics tell me the most active time for my audience is Sunday nights, 8 to 10pm.
Everyone else has finally stopped needing something from them too.
This is exactly the work we do at The Intuitive Table, my new small weekly group starting this September in Shrewsbury.
Not another set of rules.
Just you, and nine other women who know exactly what it feels like to skip breakfast, eat standing up, and scroll at 11pm because it's the only time left.
We start Monday 14th September at Shropshire Health in Leaton, 10 minutes from Shrewsbury with lots of free parking.
If you're ready to stop treating the symptoms and finally look at what's running underneath, I'd love you at that table.
Save your seat here.
