I've been wanting to write this one for a while.
Because I know you follow along, listen to the podcast and think "I love what Cara does, but it's probably not for someone like me".
And that thought is stopping you from getting help that could change everything.
There's an image in your head. I know what it is.
When people hear "relationship with food coaching," they picture someone in a larger body.
Someone whose struggle is "visible".
Diet culture has spent decades telling us food problems are body problems and body problems are food problems.
But a difficult relationship with food has absolutely nothing to do with what your body looks like.
Nothing. At all.
So who actually comes to me?
Some of my clients have done transformation programmes with other coaches.
They've hit the goal, done the shoot, got the photos.
And then they came to me because the tracking created a preoccupation with food they couldn't switch off.
The rebound hit hard both with their body (because the focus had been on the looks) and their relationship with food.
They came to me done, exhausted, wanting their brain back and to finally stop tracking every calorie.
Some have been dieting their whole lives.
One client was nearly 50 and had been trying to lose the same half stone on repeat for decades.
"Good" in the week, wine and takeaway at the weekend, Monday fresh start.
Always.
We stopped dieting.
Within a month she had lost what years of dieting couldn't do, she was lighter but she was also free.
Some run marathons.
Some "eat really healthily".
Some have it together in every other area of their life. On paper, diet culture would say they're "fine".
They're not fine. And that's who I work with.
Body size is not a measure of how much you are suffering.
It is not a qualifier for support.
And it is not a requirement for working with me.
If you are now thinking "actually this is me", book yourself a free 30 mins consultation call and I'll talk you through how I would change your relationship with food so you can be free too, all in 6 months and for £199 per month.
Book in here and listen to my latest Chatting with Cara podcast on this really naunced subject here.
