You don't need more information. You need to stop looking out there.

You've done the diets.

You've downloaded the apps.

You've watched the what I eat in a day videos.

You've bought the supplements.

You've followed the influencers.

And you still find yourself saying the same thing.

"I know what to do. I just don't do it."

I know.

And I want to talk about that sentence because it tells me everything.

If you know what to do, then this isn't an information problem.

You don't need more of it.

You've already got too much.

What's actually going on is that you've spent so long outsourcing your decisions, to apps, to food rules, to what Jenny has for lunch, that you've completely lost touch with the one person who actually knows what you need.

You.

This week on the podcast I talked about something that I think gets forgotten a lot.

You have free will.

Not in a "Cara said I can do what I want" way. But in a this is your life and your body and your decision kind of way.

Free will around food is the ability to pause.

To stop the automatic reaction.

To notice the moment where you'd normally say "sod it, I'll start Monday" and instead ask yourself "what does a smart, capable woman actually want to do right now?"

That pause is everything.

And here's the thing about perfectionism, because I know a lot of you have it.

All or nothing thinking narrows everything right down until there's only one acceptable version of the day.

Perfect.

And the second it wobbles — one biscuit, one unplanned snack — the whole thing feels ruined.

It isn't ruined.

You had a biscuit. You can just carry on.

The choice is always there.

Always available.

You just have to claim it back.

A lot of diets and food rules quietly take your power away.

They tell you when to eat, how much, what's allowed, what isn't. And after years of that, listening to your own body feels almost impossible. You've been taught to ignore it for so long.

But reconnecting with yourself with your own hunger, your own signals, your own instincts that's not a personality trait you either have or you don't.

It's a skill.

And it can be learned.

That's what I do in coaching. I don't give you another set of rules to follow.

I take you back to you.

And when you get there?

No wagon to fall off.

No starting again on Monday.

Just decisions that feel like yours. Because they are.
