The last person you would suspect

I've got a busy day today. I'm cleaning my house before I go away for a few days.
Sound familiar and just like the sort of thing that you would do?
That's because I'm a type A personality and you probably are too.
We are -
Highly competitive and driven,
Ambitious and goal focused.
Works quickly and feels time urgency (even when others don't).
Multi tasks frequently.
Struggles to switch off and relax.
Type B personalities are the opposite.
Neither is better than the other, it's just the programming we are running to.
On a consultation call last week I was listening to a woman talk about what was going on for her and I was mentally ticking off all the type A characteristics she was saying.
Because I know them.
Boy do I know them.
Because the majority of my clients are type A women.
And you are the last person people would suspect are struggling with their relationship with food.
Here's how I see it show up -
Food as a control mechanism, calories counting, macro tracking, clean eating and avoiding UPF's are just another area for you to master.
Peak life stresses mean that food is something that you turn to because it's easy, doesn't judge and it soothes your exhausted nervous system.
You have everything sorted on the outside but inside you are overthinking everything to do with food, the Sunday meal prep, the secret eating and the I'll start again on Monday vibe.
You try and sort it out by yourself, you are great at everything else, really high functioning and capable but when it comes to food, you can't seem to see the wood for the trees and work it out.
Are you nodding your head?
I bet you are.
Good news is that this can be sorted, with new tools and strategies you can work through this. You just need to know what those tools are strategies are and I can tell them to you in coaching.
Asking for help in this situation isn't a weakness - it's just you've been trying to solve the wrong problem, will power and determination won't work now you are in your 30s and 40s, the game has changed.
So enquire but you are so busy how are you going to have the time to implement this?
I get it - you are the busiest person you know. But you are already thinking about food all the time anyway, you would be replacing those thoughts initially with things that would actually help you break the pattern once and for all.
If this has resonated with you and you are a type A woman then book in for a free 30 min chat with me and I can discuss how we can get this sorted for you.
