I will never make you feel rubbish to get you to work with me.

There. I said it.

Because if you spend any amount of time on social media especially in the health and wellness space, you will know that a lot of marketing is built on making you feel like something is wrong with you.

The before and afters.

The subtle (and not so subtle) digs that leave you scrolling and feeling worse about yourself than when you started.

I've never done it.

And I never will.

This week on Chatting with Cara I joined the wonderful Charlotte Williams on her Mindful Monday Marketing and we ended up having the most honest conversation about why I built Coaching with Cara the way I did and why that decision has never wavered, even when the "conventional" marketing advice pointed somewhere else entirely.

(Charlotte is a ex client of mine and I’m super proud of how far she's come and where she's going)

My coaching is a safe space.

Compassionate, kind, non-judgemental.

So why would I drag you through the door by making you feel awful first? It just doesn't make sense to me.

What I do instead is show you the way forward.

And when you come into coaching with me, you understand why you reach for food when you aren't hungry.

Not because you're weak or have no willpower, but because there's something deeper going on  and once you know what that is, it stops having the same hold over you.

You stop the guilt cycle. The eating, the shame, the "I'll start again Monday."

It just falls away because you're dealing with the root cause, not white-knuckling your way through it.

You feel like yourself again. In your body, around food, in your life.

Calm. In control. Without it feeling like hard work.

That's what my clients walk away with.

Not a meal plan.

Not a list of rules.

A completely different relationship with food and with themselves, that lasts!

In this episode I also talk about my whole journey from sports science degree to PT to Pilates teacher to relationship with food coach, why becoming a mum changed a lot (I mean it does doesn’t it?), and why letting go of the fitness world felt like the easiest decision I ever made.

Please drop it a listen below and follow Charlotte on Instagram, she really is the kindest soul.
