Your relationship with your children's food

ree

This week is all about your children.

Well your relationship with their food.

Because as you know kids are sponges.

They take in what you say, what you do and everything in between.

Always watching and learning (if you want them to or not).

Now I've coached enough ladies in their 30's, 40's, 50's and even 60's on their relationship with food to know that it all starts in childhood.

What they were made to do.

How they were made to feel.

What they were or weren't allowed to eat.

That stuff sticks.

And it comes out later in life.

Now, you just want to do your best.

I totally get that.

But you can only do your best with the information that you have.

Just like your parents did.

But what about getting that information?

What about learning what language around food to use, so you don't make them feel bad about themselves when they eat something sugary?

What about learning to listen to your body when you are hungry or full? Not putting on your objective thoughts onto their body and presuming how much food they should eat?

What about regulating your emotions without food so that they don't watch you go to the fridge when things get emotional?

All these things I will teach you in the Introduction to Mindful Eating Workshop.

Work on your relationship with food so you don't mess theirs up.

That's a pretty bold statement from me but it's meant with fierce compassion.

Break the generational cycle.

Do better with the information that you have.

Get yourself booked on.

You can also listen to this weeks Chatting with Cara podcast about this as I delve deeper into your relationship with your children's food, I ask you three powerful questions and you learn how do break that generational cycle.
