My type of fitness is quiet.....

Fitness can and always has been pretty loud.

In your face so to speak.

Think 80's aerobic videos.

Mr Motivator

and now Hyrox.

But the sexualisation of fitness isn't my bag.

Pushing the narrative that you need to be fit to do fitness.

Workout clothes should look like this and there shouldn't be a lot of material.

I just don't buy into it.

Because that's not my type of fitness.

I'm an introvert (would you believe).

So my type of fitness is a low key parkrun, a home workout in my PJs, a run round the country lanes - literally the less people the better.

It's the quiet knowing that I can do something.

That I can go for a 10k run, that I can lift up my own heavy suitcase on holiday, that I can say yes to walking up a mountain and not worry about being left behind.

It's all about knowing.

And that comes from doing the work.

The home workouts, the steps, the nutrition and that comes from reframing beliefs.

You see this is what I would do if you came to me for coaching and you hadn't exercised for a long time or had been very on and off with it.

I would work on reframing your beliefs.

"I look stupid exercising"

"I can't do it and I'm so unfit"

"People will be waiting for me to fail and stop again"

Reframe to -

" I exercising"

"It's going to be hard because it's not something I've done for a while"

"It doesn't matter if they are waiting for me to stop because I'm not going to"

Those are the steps before you get the weights out.

If you would like help with reframing your limiting beliefs, then I'm your lady.

Drop me a message on social media telling me you've read this blog and you are ready to start exercising consistently in a way which you enjoy from the comfort of your own home.

Drop Chatting with Cara a listen if this has resonated with you too.

You can listen to it here on Spotify and here on Apple Podcasts.
